For a wedding venue that is new and unique and offers a taste of natural New Zealand then come to Kuranui. Kuranui Lodge provides an intimate setting, rustic and uniquely elegant. The clear waters of the Kuhatahi stream meandering around three sides of the lodge and the lush green native bush provide a serene, mystical ambience. Our focus at Kuranui is an outdoor wedding in a bush and stream setting that provides a majestic backdrop for superb photography. There is a small island in the stream, just one perfect setting for a ceremony surrounded by a natural amphitheatre where everyone can witness your vows of love for each other.
After the ceremony guests can mix and mingle around the native gardens and lawns or relax under the huge verandahs of the lodge.
Catering
Kuranui offers a catering service for up to 100 guests with a menu that is tailored to suit you. From plattered finger food for a more relaxed wedding without formal seating to a plated option or the ultimate buffet including our specialty venison followed by a delicious plated desert.
Whatever you choose your guests will always be treated to excellent cuisine and warm attentive Kuranui hospitality.
Kuranui Lodge has a fully licenced bar carrying a wide range of New Zealand bottled beers and wine. All beer is served in glasses.
Location and Accommodation
Kuranui is located on State Highway 5, less than an hours drive from Hamilton, Rotorua or Tauranga. Kuranui Lodge is nestled in the secluded Kuhatahi valley 2.5 km from the main road.
At Kuranui a honeymoon suite including a champagne breakfast is available and also accommodation for up to 6 guests.
There is accommodation options at nearby Okoroire and Tirau approximately 10 minutes drive from Kuranui

Mel has more than 25 years experience in the hospitality industry and much of that time has been involved organising weddings. She is always willing to listen to ideas and aspirations and delighted to share her wealth of knowledge and experience with any bride and groom planning the wedding day of their dreams.
